The Billing Office Associate is a key role in ensuring the financial and operational success of Touro College of Dental Medicine’s Albuquerque clinic. Credentialing Duties:
- Manage provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes with various insurance carriers.
- Ensure all provider documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted timely to avoid service disruptions.
- Maintain a credentialing database to track the status of applications and re-credentialing deadlines.
- Serve as a liaison between the clinic, providers, and insurance companies to resolve credentialing issues.
- Regularly review and update provider profiles in practice management systems to ensure accuracy.

Accounts Receivable Oversight:
- Monitor and manage patient accounts to ensure timely payment collection and follow-up on overdue balances.
- Collaborate with billing staff to address insurance claim denials and discrepancies.
- Generate and analyze AR aging reports to identify trends and develop strategies for reducing outstanding balances.
- Communicate with patients to arrange payment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all AR activities and ensure compliance with clinic policies.

Administrative and RCM Support:
- Work closely with clinic staff and external revenue cycle management (RCM) partners to streamline workflows.
- Assist in gathering and verifying necessary documentation for insurance claims and credentialing applications.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to credentialing and AR processes.
- Participate in regular meetings to provide updates on AR performance, credentialing progress, and any operational challenges.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of credentialing and AR processes.
Education/ Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Previous experience in credentialing, AR, or a related field in healthcare or dental practices required.
- Understanding of dental billing and insurance processes is a plus.
