As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve engaging with customers, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and inviting café atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
- Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions accurately, and manage customer payments.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations.
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
