The Special Events Assistant is responsible for the assistance of Set-up and Breakdown of DJ Equipment and special effects. They are a vital piece in ensuring weddings and events are running according to plan. They are responsible for guest interaction and assistance with photo booth operations, audio and lighting, and assisting the DJ with special effects including indoor fireworks and cloud/fog machines.
We want a qualified individual who is organized, dedicated, communicative, and hardworking. You are required to be always on time, and ready to work, no exceptions. As we mainly do weddings, you cannot be easily distracted, unprofessional, or not flexible to time or location. You will have to travel within Maryland including the eastern shore, DC, Northern VA, and Delaware depending on where you live.
Compensation: Meals are free, Travel over 1 hour is additionally compensated, Parking is compensated, overnight travel if ever requested will be compensated, we start at $20/hr
An ideal candidate is able to calmly handle all types of crowds from small children to unruly adults. We deal with all backgrounds, religions, races, genders, and beliefs, therefore we are looking for people who are comfortable working with all people.
An Ideal Candidate will have an exciting personality. Be proactive they are responsible for helping the DJ load and set-up / breakdown equipment, assisting guests with taking photographs with our photo booth when brought out to the venue, assisting the DJ with special effect items and materials or audio and lighting, and assisting in the maintenance, cleaning, sorting, troubleshooting, and care of equipment.
You must be able to lift over 30lbs and be in relatively good shape.
