Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
This position will be primarily responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Management and front of house teams in all matters pertaining to restaurant needs and demands. Assists management in inventory, scheduling, training, hiring and discipline within company guidelines and policies. Additionally, responsible for ensuring quality and efficient product output and taking proactive steps to correct any deficiencies.
Pay Rate: $23 - $25 per hour
ACTUAL DUTIES PERFORMED:
· Supervises the activities of the front of house team to ensure customers are served an exemplary product
· Handles and/or oversees the opening and closing duties of the restaurant
· Collaborates and communicates with the kitchen team to facilitate smooth service
· Upholds company and sanitary standards and maintains food and beverage in accordance with ServSafe and health code regulations.
· Supervises employees to maintain work area cleanliness and organization
· Makes recommendations and executes, with HR’s assistance, new hires, terminations and employee promotions within the department
Collaborates with F&B management as to final department decisions
· Evaluates department efficiency and productivity. Works with F&B management team to provide feedback on performance of FOH team.
· Verifies that portions, arrangements, and food are being served correctly to guests
· Maintains par lists, par levels, waste logs and requisition forms in accordance with management standards
· Assists in writing the server, runner and host, as needed
· Assists in interviewing and training servers, runners and hosts
· Reviews and ensures menus are utilized according to company standards and policies.
· Sends passdowns via email at the end of each shift
· Counts F&B Banks at start and end of each shift, ensuring it balances
· Assist the Floor Manager in implementing and tracking sales incentives for FOH team
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Company from time to time, is essential to the successful performance in this position.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.

OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:
· Back support belt, protective cutting gloves and eye protection may be required on occasion
· Read and ensure understanding and full compliance with the Company Illness and Injury Prevention Program
Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The company provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
· Prior food and beverage managerial experience
· Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with customers, the public and employees.
· Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
· Interpersonal skills to provide overall customer satisfaction and mitigate personnel issues
· Must have extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, customer relations and service standards.
· Knowledge of food recipes.
· Knowledge of proper food handling requirements.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
High School graduate or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years of combined education and / or high-volume food and beverage-related work
