Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Survey AutoCAD Designer with our Survey department. As a CAD Designer, you will serve as an integral member of our Survey team. Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation of various survey documents per applicable state and local municipality standards (As-Built Surveys, 1A/2C Certifications, Rawland Surveys, Elevation Certificates etc.)
- Basic understanding of construction staking computations
- Reads and draws deeds and plats obtained from county and state records under management direction
- Prepares as-built drawings for project closeout
- Ensures data collected closely reflects approved construction drawings.
- Processes filed data and prepares punch list items to be provided to crew for survey completion
- Maintains good client relations to foster and perpetuate a long-term relationship
- Follow guidelines and company standards set forth by the Survey department
- Aids in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment by following company policies and procedures
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the production of maps and drawings
- Major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness and clarity) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets, and responsive service to client
- Coordinate the production of maps and drawings to cover all details so that the quality is present and budgets and schedules are met
- Must be able to plot deeds and easements
- Ability to perform quality checks on surveys.
Skills Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- BS or associate's degree with emphasis on Surveying, Geomatics or Computer Aided Drafting and/or have achieved certification as an NSPS CST Level I Preferred
- 0-2 years of work experience in surveying
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and Land Surveying fundamentals
- Possesses basic drafting skills, utilizing AutoCAD, Carlson Survey and Civil 3D software
- Ability to identify different types of survey's (boundary, topographic, NSPS/ALTA, Platting, etc.) and understand their basic differences
- Able to take direction and execute with accuracy and thoroughness
- Communicate and work well with others
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a motor vehicle records check, drug test, and functional assessment
