CERTIFIED MEDICAL BILLER CODER - SPRING RIDGE SURGICENTER

Responsibilities :

  • Reviews the medical records to assign the appropriate CPT and ICD10 diagnosis and procedural codes for The Spring Ridge SurgiCenter outpatient records.
  • Follows all applicable guidelines when assigning codes.
  • Contacts physicians as needed for outstanding documentation or clarification regarding the assignment of diagnostic and procedure codes.
  • Enters charges in SurgiCenter's billing system.
  • Submits claims to Clearinghouse in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications :

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma - OR - GED

    • Experience

  • ASC Coding experience preferred
  • Billing experience
  • Knowledge of specific payer billing requirements

    • Certification and Licensure

  • AAPC Certified Professional Coder Required (CASC Coder Preferred)
