Responsibilities :
The Groundskeeper is responsible for care and maintenance of the grounds, gardens, lawns, landscaping, and shrubbery. They maintain cleanliness and safety of parking garages and lots. Completes preventive maintenance work orders efficiently. Vacums and cleans lawns and gardens of leaves and trash. Applies herbicdes to weeds. Reseeds and applies sod to lawns as needed. Inspects shrubbery and landscaping beds for insect, disease and weeds. Plants trees, flowers and bulbs. Operates and maintains irrigation systems. Performs clean up all cigarette butts and trash in all areas of campus. Cleans all parking garages and lots. Installs and repairs exterior hospital signage. Maintains a safe campus during snow and ice conditions. Performs safety inspection on equipment prior to use. Completes preventive maintenance work orders efficiently. Keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe. Properly uses and cares for power and hand tools. Utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing duties. Complies with established hospital policies and procedures, safety, environmental, and infection control. Consults with Manager concerning assignments, and keeps Manager informed of activities, needs, and problems. Works as a team member effectively communicating with other team members. Is polite and tactful when interacting withemployees in department and throughout hospital. Adjusts schedule to accomidate hospital needs when requested. Reports to work on time and is ready, and punctual while on duty.

- High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
