What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Epidemiology and Infection Prevention position at Tower Health?
The Manager of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention works with and under the direction of the System Director of Epidemiology & Infection Prevention. The Manager oversees and is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare associated infections. Supports the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standards. The Manager trains healthcare members in infection prevention. Is a leader in infection prevention and serves as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization. The Manager is responsible for the day-today operations of the department, including, but not limited to , scheduling of the staff, payroll, maintaining adequate supplies for the department, and participating in the annual evaluation process. The Manager reports to the System Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention.
