Responsibilities:
- The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner II uses tools, theories, skills and knowledge of nursing professional development (NPD) to improve the practice of staff.
- The NPD Practitioner functions in the roles Of change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion of scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for the NPD specialty.
General support of nursing educational needs, rounding in house and providing support particularly to new hires across the house.
Education Requirements
- 4 year/Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Passion for education and support of nurses
Certification and Licensure
- PA Registered Nurse License
- BLS Instructor Certification (within 12 months of hire)
- ACLS Certification and instructor if responsible for specialty course program
- PALS Certification and Instructor if Responsible for Specialty Course Program
