Responsibilities :
- Administers and assists with patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Administers and assists with routine treatments and patient care procedures according to hospital policies
- Observes and reports changes in patient condition and / or behavior to Registered Nurse promptly
- Reviews and discusses patient care activities with co-assigned Registered Nurse and documents accurately on the appropriate chart forms
- Relates and responds in a courteous manner to patients, families, visitors and hospital personnel at all times
- Demonstrates awareness of the teaching plan for co-assigned patients and assists in the implementation of the plan in conjunction with co-assigned Registered Nurse
- Assists in the transport of patients in an efficient, safe manner
- Demonstrates flexibility and adapts to changing situations and demonstrates efficient use of time
- Maintains an organized and safe environment for patients, visitors, and fellow health care workers
- Demonstrates effective communication with leaders and takes accountability for actions
- All other duties as assigned

We have 2 Rehabilitation units : Acute and Sub-acute.
FT Dayshift available 7a-7p, 12 hour shifts, 36 hours a week, every 3rd weekend rotation.
An eight week Student Nurse Externship designed for the student who is currently enrolled in a Nursing Program and is interested in gaining valuable clinical experience and the opportunity to enhance previously learned skills while working under the guidance of an experienced Registered Nurse. The student nurse extern will partner with an experienced Registered Nurse to develop critical thinking skills, hone technical skills and learn how to prioritize care. The externship is offered at the end of year two of a nursing program will increase the students' exposure to clinical nursing. The concepts of nursing, the professional image, and the socialization and transitioning into professional practice are enhanced through continued clinical exposure. Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed atleast one clinical rotation.
