What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technologist - Labor & Delivery position at Tower Health?
Work Schedule: (3) shift a week 7P-730A weekend and holiday rotation
- Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
- Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team.
- Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms.
- The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Will also assume duties on the unit to include but not limited to phlebotomy, vs, assisting with newborn care, and general patient care assistant duties.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
- 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year Scrub Experience
Certification and Licensure
- BLS Certification
- Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT (New grads must obtain within 6 months of graduation)
