Description
We are immediately seeking a Maintenance person to join our dynamic teams. Our properties include Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Wingate. This individual will assist in a variety of general maintenance duties that include cleaning, painting, plumbing, electric, carpentry, masonry and renovations. This position also provides upkeep and maintenance to outdoor areas such as property yards and landscapes, walkways and exterior buildings.
Duties may include but are not limited to
• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned
• Work within expense limits established and maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations
• Troubleshoot and utilize expertise to repair and maintain all equipment
• Become a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) at the expense of the hotel and maintain all pool requirements
• Follow brand requirements for PM (Preventative Maintenance) Program
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the General Manager
• Carry pager/cell phone as required for maintenance calls
• Complete grounds work as directed by General Manager
• Responsible for alerting the General Manger of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all guests, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Assist with Tower Hospitality portfolio of hotels and rental properties as needed
• Other duties as needed
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- High school, GED, or trade school diploma or one or more years of related experience and/or training
- Good problem solving and multitasking skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives
- Able to effectively communicate both written and verbal
- Mathematical skills required and high attention to detail
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Dependable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, paint fumes, and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of outside weather conditions.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time hourly position. Days of work will be determined upon hire and hours of work are 40 hours per week with a half hour for lunch. Extended work hours may be required as job duties demand.
