LAB TECHNICIAN - TEMPORARY

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a temporary position in our Centerbrook, QC Laboratory. 6/2/2025 to 10/31/2025

Entry level position within the Quality Control (QC) Laboratory. Responsible for routine administrative tasks, raw material sampling, and routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in support of production operations. Also, the Lab Tech has primary responsibility for glassware cleaning and organizing as well as the general upkeep of the QC laboratory cleanliness. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Conduct general glassware cleaning and organizing as needed; maintain laboratory housecleaning and upkeep.
2. Organizing, maintaining inventory of lab chemicals and/or supplies.
3. Conduct raw material sampling.
4. Prepare a variety of samples for distribution and/or storage (retains): complete documentation, data entry, labeling, packing and/or mailing. 
5. Develop testing reagents.
6. Assist Chemists as needed.
7. Perform routine chemical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products using instrumental analytical, wet chemical and physical analytical methods and techniques.
8. Become fully trained and educated in cGMPs, GLPs, Safety, and Quality standards as it applies to functional performance, and as required to support business and operations.
9. Observe and practice all safety precautions and regulations in performance of duties.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity/knowledge of laboratory operations, in support of chemical and manufacturing operations, preferred
• Demonstrated computer literacy; intermediate use of Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong team player; ability to communicate effectively with team members and other plant personnel, both verbally and in writing
• Ability and willingness to learn
• Some college level science coursework, chemistry preferred.  

SCHEDULE: 

• 1st shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Temporary position
