Our client, a boutique NYC firm is a leading litigation practice representing businesses of all sizes in the New York Metropolitan Area. The firm is primarily focused on commercial litigation and has an impressive track record of successful outcomes in the state, federal, and appellate courts.
Job Title: Commercial Litigation Attorney
Location: Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day work-from-home)
Firm: Boutique NYC Litigation Practice
Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will possess 3-7 years of experience (and in no case more than 10 years of experience) in general commercial litigation and/or commercial real estate litigation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery demands/responses.
- Conducting legal research and case investigatory work, including document review.
- Managing an individual caseload under the guidance of firm partners.
- Conducting discovery and drafting substantive motions.
- Appearing in court and administrative hearings on a regular basis.
- Completing all necessary tasks to bring cases from inception to trial.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and admission to the New York State Bar, in good standing.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
A writing sample is required for consideration, in addition to a resume.
