Our client, a top credit card company with offices in NYC, is seeking a Commercial Contracts attorney with experience both in Privacy and Cyber laws on a temporary basis.
Location: Remote (occasional reporting to NY office preferred)
Duration: Anticipated 8 months (through end of year), 35-40 hours per week
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel with a strong background in the tech and finance sectors within highly regulated industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial and regulatory contracting, with a particular focus on privacy and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and regulatory contracts.
- Provide legal advice on privacy and cybersecurity matters.
- Engage in risk discussions and provide strategic guidance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant privacy and cyber laws.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address legal issues.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in both law firm and in-house settings.
- Proven experience with privacy and security contract drafting.
- In-depth knowledge of privacy and cyber laws.
- Strong understanding of the differences between commercial and regulatory contracting.
- Comfortable discussing and managing risk.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to occasionally report to the NY office. (Not required)
