Our client, a top financial services firm with offices near Providence, RI is seeking a temporary Regulatory Exam Manager for its team.
EXAM MANAGER POSITION
The Examination Manager, coordinates and manages examinations and ongoing supervisory requests to foster a positive regulatory culture and promote proactive interaction with regulatory agencies. As part of this process, timely escalation and resolution of emerging risks and issues, along with transparent communications with the regulatory agencies promotes positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and facilitating regulatory examinations, ongoing supervision and other regulatory inquiries. This may include arranging for building and system access, compiling documentation for initial and supplemental requests, tracking requests to ensure documentation is provided to regulatory agency in a timely manner and coordination of and attendance at all meetings between the regulatory agency and Bank colleagues (with the exception of meetings with Internal Audit);
- Leading the Examination Preparation team in the pre-examination readiness assessment for high-risk examinations to identify any control gaps or weaknesses, potential issues and potential emerging risks for escalation to Regulatory Relations and Executive Management;
- Leading the Examination Review Panel to review all documentation prior to submission to the regulatory agency;
- Ensuring documentation provided to the regulatory agency is accurate and responsive to agency requests;
- Preparing colleagues for regulatory interactions during examinations, on-going supervision and other regulatory inquiries; and,
- Escalating potential gaps and concerns to the appropriate Regulatory Relationship Manager.
