Assistant Controller
Tower Loan is looking for a Assistant Controller who provides the highest quality of support. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing journal entries and account reconciliation and documenting and evaluating current procedures. This position will assist Tower Loan (the Company)s accounting operations in Accounting, Accounts Payable, cash reconciliations, and fixed asset systems.
Responsibility Summary:
- Ensure accounts payable are processed and paid promptly.
- Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties.
- Ensure timely completion of periodic bank reconciliations.
- Verify trial balance and key account balances monthly.
- Provide financial analysis upon request.
- Maintain knowledge of organizational policies, federal and state regulations, and current accounting standards.
- Prepare or oversee preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, or regulatory reports.
- Oversee the daily reconciliation of customer payments (debit cards and ACH).
- Assist the Controller, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and/or Director of Accounting with various requests and projects.
- Load Management Information System (MIS) into bank reconciliation module.
- Coordinate with corporate insurance agent regarding auto-related updates.
- Maintain branch roster of addresses and managers.
- Oversee postage meter processes.
- Input cash over/short data into bonus schedule.
- Send customer interest-paid information to branches from 1098 reports as requested.
- Coordinate annual 1099 processing, various states Annual Financial Reports, and United States (U.S.) Census Bureau reports.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
$70,000-$85,000 annually; depending on experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in accounting.
- Computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- One (1) year of management experience required.
- Accounting software experience.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highest level of integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude toward resolving issues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*Employment contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and credit check.
Work Schedule:
- Monday Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Overtime may be required based on organizational needs.
*This position is located in Flowood, MS. The employee will report daily to our corporate location.*
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
