The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the procurement department, ensuring the effective management of procurement processes, and driving strategic decision-making for the company.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the procurement department, including Procurement Associates and Procurement Senior Associates
- Develop, implement, and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and strategies
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
- Identify potential liabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department and across the organization
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Prepare and present procurement reports and analysis to senior management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are a plus
- Proven experience managing a team
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to make strategic decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with procurement software, Microsoft suite, Procore, Oracle, Intranet, and Bluebeam
