Digital Content Editor for Community-Driven, Social Impact Website
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Digital Content Editor to join our dynamic team dedicated to making the world a better place. Function and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive editorial calendar for the next 12 months, ensuring a balanced mix of articles, podcasts, videos, events, and art installations.
- Lead ongoing content creation, aligning with our mission to engage audiences in topics they are passionate about.
- Collaborate with writers, artists, videographers, and other content creators to produce high-quality, impactful content.
- Edit and curate content to ensure it aligns with our community standards and editorial guidelines.
- Analyze audience engagement and feedback to refine content strategies.
- Stay abreast of current events and trends relevant to our community's interests.
- Foster relationships with community leaders, influencers, and other stakeholders to enhance content relevance and reach.
- Manage a team of contributors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure quality and consistency.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to promote content across various channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience in digital content creation and editing, preferably in a community-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of digital media platforms and content trends.
- Excellent editorial judgment and storytelling skills.
- Proficient in content management systems and SEO principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for social change and community engagement.
