SUMMARY
The Sr. Planner is accountable for the strategy, development, and attainment of company/channel inventory management, sales analysis, forecasting and financial plans to achieve business goals. The position partners with the sales team and works collaboratively with the merchant teams, and the TNC customer service, finance, production, warehouse operations & supply chain partners to optimize sales, improve inventory turns and support all cross-functional KPI s.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the budgeting/planning process, partnering with finance, sales, and supply chain teams.
Develop and manage bottoms up forecasts & inventory plans.
Develop weekly reports to analyze and identify trends, and to communicate top line financial risks and opportunities to the customer and all cross functional teams.
Evaluate and recap seasonal performance to influence future strategies.
Recommend inventory buys to support roll outs of new items and sets, and replenishment of existing items to meet sales and inventory goals.
Use customer portal to manage the account. Perform ad hoc analysis as necessary, pulling POS data and forecasts in order to drive sales growth while focusing on inventory management best practices.
Provide cross-functional supply chain teams forecasts to plan greige goods and capacity.
Work with customer and operations teams to track, improve and achieve OTIF (On Time/ In Full) scores and goals.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to work well independently and collaboratively and cross-functionally with the customer and across all functions within the entire internal organization.
Proven analytical ability and creative problem-solving skills.
Extensive Excel experience required.
Takes initiative, self-starter, business driver and owner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s degree plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, wholesale, or CPG merchandise planning, demand planning or similar capacity with experience managing OTB, budgeting, inventory plans, and forecasting.
Experience working with customer portals.
Experience managing replenishment programs, demand and receipt planning, and ladder plans.
Experience working in an omni-channel environment.
