What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Chef position at Town + Country Resources?
Location : Atherton, California.
Schedule : Full-time over 4 days per week, including Sunday and one additional overlapping day with the other chef. Ideal hours are 10 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM, with overtime paid when applicable.
Duties : Prepare fresh, seasonal, farm-to-table meals, focusing on simple yet creative lunch and dinner dishes for 3 adults. Rotate proteins, including chicken, fowl, fish, pork, and pasta, while adhering to dietary needs and preferences. Plan and execute nutritious, minimally spiced meals with homemade and seasonal ingredients while limiting sugar. Maintain pantry organization and ensure the kitchen is clean and orderly, with assistance available for dishwashing and cleanup. Work collaboratively with a long-term chef, respecting the established kitchen environment. Provide flexibility to cover additional days when the other chef is unavailable.
Requirements : Previous experience as a private or personal chef in a similar role.
Expertise in farm-to-table, seasonal cooking with an emphasis on fresh and creative dishes. Kind demeanor, strong listening skills, and a collaborative approach. Ability to work with and respect the experience of the long-standing chef. Strong organizational skills and a proactive work ethic.
Salary range : $60 - $65
Benefits : Two weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays, five paid sick days, health insurance, 401K,and pay for 52 weeks of the year.
