Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in excavation work and operating various types of heavy machinery. (willing to teach if low on experience) As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment to support our operations, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, 6x6 off road trucks, backhoes, loaders, skid loaders, and rollers
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery in various environments.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as required by the job.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report any major concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating heavy machinery (willing to teach inexperienced personal)
• Experience with heavy equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to undergo any required training or certifications related to equipment operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
