Full Time Parts Runner & Backup Parts Counter
Town Chrylser Jeep Dodge is currently seeking a Parts Runner / Backup Parts Counter person to support our busy automotive parts department. This position requires a motivated individual with excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for learning new skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Running parts to and from vendors and other local locations
- Maintaining a clean and organized parts storage area
- Maintain the parts vehicle inspection, cleanliness and maintenance.
- Locate part numbers when necessary for a parts request.
- Assisting customers at the parts counter, answering questions and locating parts
- Accurately invoice the customer for the part(s).
- Working with the parts team to maintain inventory levels
- Learning and becoming proficient in our computerized inventory system
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent. All licenses must be converted to a Washington State License within 30 days of employment.
- Clean driving record to meet insurability standards
- Ability to operate a standard truck
- Ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Assist in and operate a forklift for moving parts inventory.
- Willingness to work as a team player and assist with other tasks as needed
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
Work Environment:
As part of the essential duties, this position requires operating motor vehicles, along with certification and operation of a forklift and/or a scissor lift. The employee’s essential duties are such that impairment caused by drug or alcohol could result in significant injury or death.
