The Town Of Acton Is Looking For Students To Participate In Our Paid Internships This Summer From June To August. We Have a Variety Of Internships Available Throughout Our Different Town Departments. They Include

- Council on Aging: Assist with day to day tasks at the Senior Center as well as compile a variety of data to assist future planning for the Senior Center.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Working in the office assisting with day-to-day activities and helping with developing programming for the year and creating social media strategy, including research and event planning.
- Department of Public Works/GIS: Work within the GIS department and be a GIS user and work on adding/improving the information in existing data layers such as new property delineations, address verification, utility and drainage infrastructure and other related features. This person will also be responsible for field inspections and use of GPS equipment for data collection and verification as part of their work.
- Planning: Work within the Planning department and primarily work on the sign bylaw analysis and assist with daily operations of the planning department.
- Administration and Finance: Working within the Human Resources and Finance departments working on grant contracts, data entry, account reconciliation, researching, cash flow projects, organizing and filing, and shadow the various roles within Administration and Finance.
- Police: Working within the Police department working on categorizing and filing and organizing Public Records files. Will also get to experience various aspects of police work; including tours, ride-along, and exposure to the emergency communications center.
- Recreation: Assisting with administrative wok, planning and organizing recreation programs and activities. Support event coordination and engage with fellow staff and recreation participants.
