What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Help Desk Technician position at Town of Acton?
The Town of Acton is seeking applicants for the position Help Desk Technician. This is a part time position up 18 hours per week which may lead to a future full-time position depending on future funding.
This position serves as the help desk point of contact for any technical assistance for employees requiring IT support. Troubleshoots and supports any break/fix issues including analyzing and repairing any connectivity, software, and hardware access requests, equipment configuration, quality control, software installation and upgrading. This position will also perform any and all other duties as required by their supervisor.
Minimum Entrance Requirements: One (1) year experience in a computer help desk environment solving user problems in Windows operating systems, MS Office Suite, internet browsers, end-point security, permissions management, and mobile devices. High school diploma/GED required.
Special Requirements: Valid Drivers License. Weeknight and Weekend work will occasionally be required.
Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
