What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Monitor - Youth Services position at Town of Andover?
The Town of Andover seeks creative, energized and dynamic applicants for Building Monitor positions at Andover Youth Services (AYS). Serving youth ages 11-19, AYS provides enrichment opportunities for youth development by way of engaging participants in a variety of recreational, educational, social, cultural and support programs.
Building Monitor are the welcoming face at AYS for youth arriving at the center for activities and programs and will assist staff with getting youth settled in for an afternoon of fun and camaraderie with their peers and through engaging programming.
Primary responsibilities include phone coverage, greeting youth coming to AYS, assisting with technology needs (i.e., program check in and online registration for programs), answering questions, overseeing building spaces and directing youth to their desired activity or program.
Further, Building Monitor are expected to:
- Model respectful behavior among all attendees
- Communicate regularly with Youth Services staff, youth and community members
- Ensure and foster a safe and welcoming environment for all participants
- Supervise Youth and enforce AYS and building rules
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Perform other duties assigned by Youth Services Staff
A variety of hours are available, and schedule will include some weekend hours. These are part time, seasonal positions and are not eligible for benefits.
