Job Summary
We are seeking an RN to serve as a Program Specialist Leisure Program Nurse for our five Leisure Program sites. The Program Specialist will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the health and medical records of participants aged 6-13. Duties include providing medical services to camp participants and staff, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, coordinating health programs, identifying health issues, and communicating with parents regarding accidents or illnesses. Additionally, the Program Specialist will be involved in staff orientation on health-related matters and administering medications as per state laws and camp protocols.
Qualifications
The Program Specialist must be available for Parent and Staff Orientations on June 14, Medication drop-offs, and pre-season work during June. The Leisure Program is scheduled to run from June 30 to August 15, 2025, with staff hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Compensation
Hourly rate of $30.00 with no benefits provided for this position.

Qualifications
- Current RN Licensure
- Current CPR Certification
- Experience working with children, youth, and young adults
- Working knowledge of MA Health and Safety Laws and Practices
- Familiarity with current ACA Standards
- Ability to operate medical equipment such as a Deliberator, epi-pen, nebulizer, and handle tube feedings
- Possession of a valid Driver's License
- Demonstrated good character, integrity, and adaptability
- Possess enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control
- Knowledge of Town of Barnstable Department Policy and Procedure
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to enforce rules professionally and manage difficult situations with composure
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Successful completion of CORI & SORI check
