What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transfer Station Attendant position at Town of Barrington?
Town of Barrington is now hiring for a Transfer Station Attendant!
Background check and physical will be required:
This is a non benefitted part time position 15 hours/week (winter hours) 20 hours/week (summer hours) Saturdays are required. Summer hours will include paid time off.
The successful candidate should posses a New Hampshire Solid Waste Operators Certification or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment, the ability to operate a cash register, have good communication skills with fellow employees, residents, and other users of the Transfer Station. The position requires the person to be able to perform physical labor under all climatic and environmental conditions such as heat, cold, dust, noise, rain and snow.
Duties include monitoring trash and recycling material received; maintaining a safe environment for residents and employees, interacting with the general public including advising them of the policies of the Transfer Station and assisting them with their recycling and disposal needs.
Position will require candidate to perform repetitive motion tasks and bend and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
