Job Description
The Town of Bennett is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to manage and coordinate civil infrastructure projects. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex engineering, construction, and planning documents.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced engineering review and evaluation of major, complex project proposals.
- Recommends governmental measures affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, floodplain, and transportation to control and guide community development and urban renewal.
- Responds to questions from residents, contractors, or developers either in person or over the phone.
Requirements
- Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Calendar and Gmail, GIS software, MSProject or similar, Bluebeam and/or Adobe Acrobat.
