What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gardener - Summer Seasonal position at Town of Breckenridge?
Individuals in this position also provide leadership to Greens Keepers who are assigned to help with gardening. - Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Gardening experience at high elevation required.
- Must be able to work a reliable schedule through the established seasonal timeframe, generally May through October.
- To qualify for this position, the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
- A valid Colorado Drivers License and a Motor Vehicle Record deemed appropriate are required prior to driving Town vehicles.
- Community CPR, First Aid, and AED training required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
- Master Gardener Certification preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Primary shifts for this position vary. However, five (5) days per week for up to 40 hours would be typical for this position. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability, and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
