The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking dedicated, highly responsible and customer service oriented individuals for the position of Lifeguard . Lifeguards are responsible for exceptional safety and guest service for the Recreation Department. Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of patrons and preventing accidents through the education and enforcement of policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of patrons. Lifeguards are also responsible for monitoring the pool facilities for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, providing first aid to patrons, custodial duties in maintaining the aquatic facilities, public relations, and all other duties as necessary or required. This includes providing information, implementing or carrying out preplanned programs or activities, assisting with program planning, enforcing policies or procedures, and generally representing the department in the most quality and service oriented manner possible. Lifeguards are responsible for responding to any level of incident or emergency around the pool areas and the facility. Lifeguards maintain communication and relationships with other staff, members or guests while enforcing our established rules in a fair and polite manner and completing any other tasks assigned by the Aquatic Coordinator or Aquatic Lead. Above all, the safety of our members and guests is of the highest importance in this safety sensitive position.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Typical Hiring Pay Range: $20.50 - $21.75 per hour. WORK SCHEDULEPrimary shifts for this position vary to include both daytime and evening shifts of approximately six (6) hours. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.APPLICATION INFORMATIONQualified candidates must attached their current (or expired less than one (1) year ago) American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or equivalent) along with their online application. This position is 'Open Until Filled'.
