MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have the ability to perform a wide range of physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment under a variety of weather conditions.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to pass a background check, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record review.
- A valid Colorado Driver's License is required at time of hire.
- S-212 Chainsaw Operation Certification preferred.
- An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two (2)-year college or technical school in Natural Resource Management or a related field preferred.
- One to two (1-2) years of open space and trails related work experience, or a commensurate amount of related construction experience preferred.
- Experience operating light or heavy equipment and/or carpentry skills desired.
- Demonstrated experience working with volunteers desired, including recruiting, training, directing, organizing, and motivating trail volunteers.
Typical Hiring Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.65 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Primary shifts for this position are generally four (4) 10-hour days, typically Monday-Friday, although some weekend shifts may be required. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early morning, late nights, weekends and holidays. All interested applicants must be available to work through the Summer Seasonal period established by the Open Space & Trails Division, which generally extends through mid-October. All work schedules, hours and dates of work are at the discretion of the Town and may be altered at any time.
