The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking dedicated and customer service oriented individuals for the position of Sports Instructor. Individuals in the Sports and Events area are generally responsible for assisting in the creation & implementation of various programs and services for guests of the Recreation Department. Primary responsibilities include the design, development and/or creation of programs or services, and instruction of skills related to the various programs or services. Implementation of programs and services involves setting up and preparing assigned facility space and equipment, performing light maintenance duties, registration, handling cash, interfacing with participants, coaching, instructing, officiating, scheduling, enforcing department policies and procedures, ensuring safety, and collecting evaluations and patron feedback. Individual(s) selected for this position will primarily be responsible for providing sports instruction to youth and assistance with summer events management. In addition, the Sports Instructor may provide instruction for a variety of Town of Breckenridge youth or preschool sports, including: baseball/softball, t-ball, football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, tumbling/gymnastics and field games. Instruction is generally delivered to participants who want to learn or advance their skills in a group lesson setting at the Breckenridge Recreation Center and includes facility, field and equipment set up and tear down. Key responsibilities include imparting instruction in a responsible, service-oriented manner that supports a culture of safety, where an emphasis on safety and applicable risk management techniques are taught.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Typical Hiring Pay Range: $20.50 - $21.75 per hour. WORK SCHEDULEPrimary shifts for this position generally are Monday - Friday during the school year from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Summer Camp dates, shifts are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., as needed. Shifts vary due to participants needs & schedule. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is 'Open Until Filled'.
