ALL BOARDS CLERK
The Town of Brookfield seeks an All Boards Clerk to fill a 15 hour a week position, Tuesday - Thursday. Applications/Resumes accepted until the position is filled
All Boards Clerk is responsible for administrative and clerical support for various Brookfield Boards/Committees (B/C)
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Posting agendas, publishing notices, posting notices and meetings, minutes; staying current on Open Meeting Law guidelines and overseeing that B/C are in compliance with such; On-Boarding new B/C members; Updating and keeping all postings, related webpages and information current.
Assisting each enumerated B/C with daily tasks, such as: opening mail, photocopying, -scanning, filing, preparing mailings, ordering office supplies, responding to inquiries, assisting residents/public with application processes and forms, etc.
Assisting Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) with preparing and processing Petitioners’ Applications, meeting required deadlines, communicating to the ZBA all interactions pertaining to applicants, information and more.
Assisting Conservation Commission (ConCom) with preparing and processing Petitioners’ Applications, NOIs and other processes, meeting required deadlines, communicating to ConCom all interactions pertaining to applicants, process information and more.
Assisting Planning Board (PB) with preparing and processing Petitioners’ Applications, meeting required deadlines, communicating to the PB all interactions pertaining to applicants, process information and more.
Assisting B/Cs with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, responsible for turning over payments to the Town Treasurer, taking phone messages and general clerical work as needed.
Assisting all B/C, transcribing minutes, typing letters, mailings, message taking, email correspondence, photocopying, scanning documents, filing and assisting/directing residents to the appropriate B/C
Assisting other B/Cs not listed as time allows.
Must be able to perform detailed work accurately and efficiently within deadlines, maintain confidential information and possess good communication and organizational skills. Must be able to be bonded.
Must have strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook; Ability to multi-task and handle shifts in priorities.
