What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Fire Administrative Assistant position at Town of Brownsburg?
Principal Function: The Fire Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining department files, answering phone inquiries, processing invoice claims, and performing other duties as assigned.
Reports To: Deputy Chief of Administration
Hours Per Week: Flexible weekly schedule, 16-20 hours between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Screen incoming phone calls and resolve routine inquiries.
- Apply standard bookkeeping principles, including making simple arithmetic calculations.
- Prepare and submit invoices and purchase orders.
- Take meeting minutes.
- All other duties as assigned by the Deputy Chief of Administration and his/her designee.
