Part-time Fire Administrative Assistant

Principal Function: The Fire Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining department files, answering phone inquiries, processing invoice claims, and performing other duties as assigned. 

Reports To: Deputy Chief of Administration

Hours Per Week: Flexible weekly schedule, 16-20 hours between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Screen incoming phone calls and resolve routine inquiries. 
  • Apply standard bookkeeping principles, including making simple arithmetic calculations. 
  • Prepare and submit invoices and purchase orders.
  • Take meeting minutes.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Deputy Chief of Administration and his/her designee.
