What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Water Utilities Laborer position at Town of Brownsburg?
Principal Function: The seasonal laborer is responsible for maintaining the appearance of buildings and grounds.
SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT MAY - SEPTEMBER (40hrs/week)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in maintaining the Wastewater and Water Department workplaces clean, organized, and disinfected.
- Perform cleaning of the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls.
- Sanitize, disinfect, and maintain all restroom facilities.
- Disinfect commonly used items like desks, doors, office tools, and phones.
- Remove trash and recycling.
- Maintain a detailed cleaning inventory and replenish janitorial supplies as needed.
- Maintain outdoor grounds by cutting grass and trimming bushes.
- Assist with the removal of debris and snow from sidewalks.
- Clean vehicles, equipment, and tanks.
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions.
- All other duties as assigned by the Water Utilities Director/Superintendent and his/her designee.
Supervisory Participation and Control: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
