What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Assessor position at Town of Brunswick?
The Town of Brunswick Assessing Department is seeking a dynamic candidate for the position of Assistant Assessor. In this important role, you will obtain accurate appraisal and valuation information of both real and personal property through field visits. This position provides back-up to the Assessor in all aspects of administering the assessment process.
Knowledge of computers and software (Munis/Vision) preferred. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of assessment practices and property tax law, strong technical ability and high attention to detail. Outstanding customer service skills required.
The candidate must presently be a Certified Maine Assessor or obtain this certification within one year of hire. A valid State of Maine motor vehicle operator’s license in good standing is required.
The full salary range for this position will be $52,206 to $75,296 annually. The starting pay will be pursuant to qualifications and budgetary allowance.
