About the Role

The Administrative Assistant will serve as a key member of the Department team, providing administrative support and relief to the Department Director and staff. This role involves coordinating office activities, prioritizing tasks, and developing schedules to meet critical deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates office activities, prioritizes tasks, and develops schedules to meet critical deadlines.
  • Maintains departmental calendars and schedules for Department staff, coordinates meetings, and reserves facilities.
  • Prepares agenda packets for Town Council and committee meetings, coordinates staff travel arrangements, and distributes incoming mail for all departments and council.
  • Responsible for maintenance and supplies of printer and postage machine, and maintains absolute confidentiality of all records and information.
