Responsible for the daily operation of the Summer Day Camp and supervision of the other camp staff under guidance of the Recreation Coordinator. This position requires directing staff to accomplish scheduled programming including any required adjustments.The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by camp staff including emergency actions.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential job functions: Direct and supervise camp staff to meet supervision and programming needs of campers.Maintain communication with parents/guardians concerning daily camp operations, schedule changes and any emergency information.Maintain communications with Parks & Recreation staff concerning daily operations, required reports and records, and any emergency information.Relationships: Reports to and takes direction from Camp Director and/or Assistant Camp Director.Acts as main point of contact with host facilities for scheduled field trips, guest speakers, specialized instructors and the like.Equipment Used: Standard office equipment: computers, copier, filesCommunication equipment: cell phone, portable two way radiosSports equipment: basketballs, soccer balls, gear bags, cones, flagging tape etc.Recreational and arts & craft supplies: board games, glue, paper, scissors, tape, paint etc.Emergency equipment: First aid equipment
