Full-Time Public Landscape Technician Job Description
The Town of Carbondale is accepting applications for our Public Works Department full-time benefited Public Landscape Technician. This is a great opportunity for applicants interested in growing or pursuing a career working with flowerbeds, landscape areas, and trees. Position performs a variety of semi-skilled manual labor duties that include maintenance of public flowerbeds, landscape areas, and town trees along Highway 133 corridor, public rights-of-ways, and town parks. Once trained, light equipment, bucket truck, and chipper operation is a requirement of this position. Training opportunities are provided, and the position may advance to Horticulture Specialist once criteria are met.
A valid Colorado driver’s license is required. Physical exam, pre-employment and substance abuse testing will be required. Work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This is a salary (non-exempt) position with benefits. Starting salary range of $51,489 to $62,400 depending on qualifications. Once criteria is met, position may advance to Horticulture Specialist.
