What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Police Officer position at Town of Chichester Police Department?
The Chichester Police Department is currently accepting applications for a certified (NH or out of state) Police Officer. Candidates may be required to complete a physical agility test, oral board, polygraph, medical exam, psychological exam and an extensive background investigation.
Full Time NH Certified Police Officer applicants are eligible for a structured $10,000 sign on bonus paid over 24 months. Out of state certified applicants are eligible for a $5,000 structured bonus.
Chichester Police Officers are responsible for responding to calls for service, conducting criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, and participating in various community policing initiatives. Our Officers have the opportunity to work and resolve cases from start to finish and make long lasting community connections.
With a population of appr. 2700 residents, Chichester is a growing town that is supportive of their Police department and provides a friendly, small town atmosphere.
Wages for certified candidates range from $62,400. - $70,720. depending on qualifications and years of prior law enforcement experience.

Candidates must be a United States Citizen, 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or GED. No criminal record and a valid drivers license. A college degree and/or military experience is preferred.
