The Town of Chittenden is seeking a part-time custodian (4-8 hours per week) to clean and perform interior and exterior light maintenance in town buildings.
Description
This position provides general and recurring indoor and outdoor custodial work and entails a weekly maintenance schedule to be worked out with the Town Clerk.
Essential Job Functions:
· Sweep, vacuum and mop floors throughout all buildings.
· Wash windows, windowsills, walls, fixtures, doors, and woodwork.
· Empty and clean trash containers; prepare trash and recycling for removal from property interior and exterior and place in outside garbage containers.
· Clean and sanitize kitchen and bathroom sinks and toilets.
· Maintain all dispensers in rest rooms and buildings.
· Remove cobwebs and flies from lights and replace bulbs as needed.
· Sweep, clean, and remove trash from outdoor walkways, driveways, and facility grounds and place in outdoor containers.
· Notify Town Clerk of any problems with building maintenance.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
· Perform other duties as required.
