General Responsibilities :
We are seeking an energetic, creative Program Coordinator to join our program staff. The Cohasset Recreation Department prides itself on providing comprehensive, culturally relevant programs and events and ensuring they are accessible to all community members.
- Assists with the coordination, development, and implementation of community recreation programs; oversees classes, workshops, and activities for participants in recreation programs, including website updating and maintenance.
- Aids in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating program staff and volunteers; manages contractors; schedules assigned staff, volunteers and contractors, such as sports officials.
- Assists in the preparation, operation, and management Summer Program
- Provides daily leadership for recreation programs, including problem-solving and response to emergencies.
- Assists in implementing and evaluating program policies and procedures.
- Responds to public inquiries regarding recreation programs; represents the program / department at meetings when the Recreation Director is unavailable.
- Provides customer service with tact, courtesy, sensitivity, and discretion with all guests, visitors, and vendors
- Answers phones correctly and courteously, and professionally; completes calls if able.
- Contributes to quarterly mailing.
