POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
JOB TITLE: Youth Center Supervisor
PART-TIME: Mondays through Thursday, 1:45pm-4:45pm, during the school year (12 hours per week)
PAY: $21.63 per hour
General Statement of Duties:
Youth Center Supervisors built trusting and impactful relationships with young people while providing a safe space where youth can participate in educational, social and recreational activities.
Duties include:
- Provide a safe, clean and nurturing environment at the Youth Center.
- Serve as a positive role model.
- Engage with young people in sports, arts, games, homework and other enrichment activities.
- Utilize behavior modification techniques to increase desirable behaviors.
- Promote healthy and appropriate interactions among children
- Support youth in their character development; including leadership, teamwork, personal responsibility.
- Engage youth in decision making and planning process.
- Other tasks as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of behavior modification techniques
- Ability to supervise children in large groups
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Education & Experience:
- Experience working with youths in supervisory setting preferred
