What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Employee position at Town of Coulee City?
Performs a variety of routine and complex work in the street, water, sewer, and park departments. This position will be classified as a Class A employee per Resolution No. 450 as defined and subject to a 90 day probationary period. Must be 18 years or older. Must be physically capable of lifting 70 pounds. Must have good public relation skills.
Duties include but not limited to:
Assists compliance with federal & state requirements for water quality & wastewater management
Maintenance of the town Water System
Maintenance of the town Sewer System, including all wastewater, storm water, and lagoons
Water and sewer line connections & repair
Confined space entry on wet wells
Maintenance of Streets and alleys
Street work, including plowing snow, street sweeping, replacing signs, patchwork, stripe painting, etc.
Maintenance and operations in the Coulee City Campground
Coordination of town improvement projects
Buildings maintenance
Driving backhoe, tractor, and other maintenance equipment
On call hours for emergency repairs
General mechanic repairs and oil changes
Light electrical work and carpentry
Garbage hauling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33,865.00 - $64,480.00 per year
