Seeking Two (2) Summer Seasonal Park Rangers
The Town of Danvers & Office of Natural Resources welcomes applications for Summer Seasonal positions. This is a great opportunity for college students or recent high schools graduates entering into the fields of horticulture, animal care or environmental sciences. Natural Resource Rangers maintain Endicott Park with responsibility for the care of farm animals, environmental education programming, barn maintenance, landscaping, building & grounds maintenance, as well as the professional stewardship of over 400 acres of Open Space land and Rail Trail throughout the Town of Danvers. This position performs light to heavy manual tasks in a wide variety of maintenance and construction work throughout the Town’s natural resource areas.
Summer Seasonal positions work 30-40 hours per week for a 13 week period (May to September) with flexibility in the work hours. $25.43/hourly
The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteerism, education and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required.
Must be eighteen (18) years old by date of hire. High School, Trade School, or equivalent degree required. Associate degree in Horticulture, Urban Forestry or an Environmental Science preferred. American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR training required, or ability to obtain within two (2) months of employment. Valid driver's license required. MA Hoisting 2A License is preferred.
