Description
The tentative schedule for this position will be 10-hour shifts, Wednesday through Saturday either 7:30 am-6:00pm or 8:00am-6:30pm.
Under general supervision, performs administrative and investigative work enforcing State and local codes. Is responsible for inspecting, investigating and prosecuting violations of the Town of Davie Code and other codes and/or ordinances applicable to property within the Town. Reports to Code Compliance Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)
- Possess F.A.C.E. (Florida Association of Code Enforcement) Level I Certification, or must obtain certification within twelve (12) months from date of appointment;
- Possession of a valid Class "E" Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; must be physically able to operate a vehicle;
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Applicants Must Not Have:
- Felony convictions;
- Driver's license suspensions within five (5) years of the date of this application;
- Steroid usage within three (3) years of the date of this application;
- Visible tattoos above the collarbone on the neck, face, head, scalp or on the hands;
- Used any illegal controlled substances within three years of the date of this application with the exception of marijuana.
- All applicants must not have used marijuana or cannabis in any form within one year of the date of this application.
- Used any tobacco products within six (6) months of the date of this application.
- Been dishonorably discharged from the military.
