About the Role:
The Town of Dennis seeks a qualified Facilities Maintenance Specialist to perform various tasks in maintaining the town's buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our properties, including routine cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general custodial duties, including cleaning restrooms, washing and buffing floors, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, emptying trash, etc.
- Follow and incorporate good infection control practices in daily cleaning duties.
- Perform routine maintenance and service to cleaning equipment, buildings or grounds.
- Perform basic grounds keeping and other exterior property maintenance duties.
- Required to participate in snow and ice operations and other weather-related emergencies.
- Supports town civic functions as required (IE voting, special events).
- May be required to be on call 24 hours.
- Performs assignments utilizing proper safety precautions in accordance with established procedures and policies.
- Ability to interact with employees and the general public in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner.
- Communicates to supervisor problems regarding personnel, equipment, or ability to complete assignments.
- Required to work in all weather conditions.
- Required to operate tools and power equipment related to essential duties.
