SEASONAL GOLF ASSISTANT
The Town of Dennis seeks interested applicants for the Seasonal position of Golf Assistant. This is a supervisor position and the candidate will be trained in all aspects of golf course operation including clerking, cart fleet management, ranger, starter duties, and tournament operations. This is not a golf course maintenance position. Candidate must possess knowledge of golf.
Essential Duties:
Duties will include assisting and learning all aspects of the golf operations, managing tee sheet, tournament operations, clerk, starter, ranger, carts and range. Applicants must have a strong desire to pursue a career in golf business. Must be available to work weekends.

Essential Duties:
- When schedule permits, make sure all carts are cleaned and put away before arrival of cart worker
- Check driving range and clear all empty buckets
- Check and restock all supplies and pro shop merchandise
- Inform management of any low supplies that need to be ordered
- Check with ranger to see if any assistance is needed on the course
- Be efficient in every seasonal staff position to be able to fill in at any time
- Take phone calls and book tee times for non-members including hotels and advanced times
- Assist in all aspects of tournament operations
- Check all future tee times and make phone calls to confirm reservations
- Investigate any potential tee time “shenanigans”
- Be available to pick range if needed
- Process memberships and GHIN handicaps
- Assist with the instruction for the free junior clinics
- Score, input credit book and update website for all Saturday Morning Pro Shop Sweeps
- Perform club re-gripping
- Always be available, by radio or phone, to assist the clerk in all operations, especially refunds
