What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks & Recreation Seasonal Opportunities position at Town of Derry?
The Derry NH Parks & Recreation Department is hiring for the following seasonal positions to support the Summer Programs at our Town facilities.
- Parks Seasonal Labors $16.65 to $18.73 per hour, depending on experience. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Responsible for semiskilled and unskilled work in the care and upkeep of all Town parks and recreational areas. Must be at least 18 years of age. A valid driver’s license and previous experience is preferred. Pay rate based on experience.
- Recreation Facility Supervisors $17.69 per hour. Facilities are open Sunday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Responsible for maintaining the safety of all patrons and staff at their respective park. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Lifeguards $17.69 to $$19.77 per hour, depending on experience. Facilities are open Sunday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Responsible for maintaining safe and precautionary procedures at waterfront facilities as well as supporting the enforcement of all safety procedures. Must be 16 years of age and possess a valid lifeguard certificate or be in the process of obtaining one.
